Kalamazoo metro area unemployment rate rises to 8.7 percent in May
The unemployment rate for the Kalamazoo Metropolitan Statistical Area (which includes all of Kalamazoo and Van Buren counties) rose to 8.7 percent in May, up from 8.3 percent in April, but down handily from 11 percent in May 2010.
