I Need a Job NOW!

It seems that every month things get a little worse.  From Bloomberg:

Unfortunately there is no good news about unemployment in the United States, yet. Here are some news from today:

From the Associated Press: New jobless claims rose more than expected last week and the number of Americans continuing to receive unemployment benefits has topped 5.1 million, fresh evidence the recession is increasingly forcing employers to shed jobs.

If you have not heard already, the Congress passed a large $787 billion stimulus bill on Friday, February 13th. This package includes a many benefits for the unemployed. Here is a quick rundown.

From Reuters: WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. job losses accelerated in January as 598,000 were slashed, the most in 34 years, and the unemployment rate soared to a 16-year high, pressuring lawmakers to act quickly to counter a deepening recession.
