Ann Arbor-based Borders cuts HQ, distribution jobs
Borders Group, beset by bankruptcy rumors, laid off 45 employees Monday. The bulk of those jobs, 40, were at company headquarters, said Borders spokeswoman Mary C. Davis. Five other jobs were eliminated at distribution centers, she added. Affected employees will receive severance pay.
